Short Term Goals
Long Term Goals
I grew up in Wisconsin and began running in 4th grade with my dad. My goal back then was to run a good time in the 1 mile run in gym class; later, my goal became to run a marathon by the time I graduated high school. I attended UW-Madison where I studied engineering and French as well as participated on the university rowing team. After graduating, I followed my passion for space exploration to Huntsville where I rediscovered running. My inspiration to take up running again came through astronaut Sunita Williams. "210 miles above Earth, Expedition 15 crew member Sunita Williams attempted something no other astronaut has ever done. She ran the Boston Marathon while in orbit" (NASA.gov). The need to run is sometimes synonymous with the need to explore, and even on Earth, taking to foot, can be one of the best ways to learn about a new city.
