What is your favorite race, and why?
Favorite Local Race: Cotton Row is my favorite race for so many reasons. 1) It honors and remembers the brave men and women who lost their life in service of the U.S military; 2) It is a community race for runners of all abilities and has the best volunteers; 3) It is the first 5k I ran after completing No Boundaries.
What is your favorite product at Fleet Feet, and why?
Only 1? I love the addaday stick roller and marble roller. The stick provides good overall muscle stiffness relief and the marble roller is good for specific targeted areas. They are compact and can be carried in a tote or suitcase when traveling.
What is your proudest running moment?
My proudest running moment is coaching a group of people starting on their running journey and seeing the joy on their faces as they cross the finish line of their first 5k.
Second proudest PRing the 2016 Rocket City Marathon! I trained hard and it paid off.
What is your favorite quote, and why?
Believe in yourself and you are halfway there. -Theodore Roosevelt
I began my running journey at 49 when I participated in Fleet Feet's No Boundaries program. Five years and many miles later, I can't imagine life without running. My husband, Tony, and I have been happily married for 23 years. We are both retired and spend a large part of our time volunteering in the community with the National Children's Advocacy Center, Hospice Family Cares, Therapy Partners, the Huntsville Hospital Foundation, and other organizations. We share our home with our greyhounds, Atticus and Echo, and our cat, Charlotte.
