Short Term Goals
After recently undergoing knee surgery for a torn meniscus, I hope to rebuild a strong base, including focusing more on my speed. My first few races back will be building blocks for my fall race goals.
Long Term Goals
Fall 2016 will be the time for my goal race of the year, the Pinhoti 100. I plan to race quite a bit in the late summer/early fall to prepare for this race. It it my plan to be in properly trained to run this race in under 25 hours and place well.

Goal Races this Season
I have been in the fitness field since 1998. My career as a personal trainer and Yoga instructor allows me to touch many lives and introduce them to a healthy way of life. I received my degree in Exercise Science from Wichita State University in 1999. I began running consistently in 2002. I enjoy running all distances, but particularly enjoy the challenge of the ultra distances and have completed six 100-milers to date. This year I will be attempting my seventh right here in Alabama at the Pinhoti 100, which we helped crew fellow race team member Dana Overton at in 2013. I have helped many people train for and complete races of all distances through both my career and coaching the Fleet Feet training programs. In 2012, I received my Running Coach certification through RRCA. I have been married to my husband Tony for 22 years and have two children, Courtney and Brandon who are also very active. Our entire family enjoys not only participating in races, but also volunteering and helping other runners. Tony and I co-direct the Recover from the Holidays 50k that is held each year at John Hunt Park on New Year's Eve morning.
